How beautiful!

The opalescent fabric should wash fine in cool water -- you don't need to "wash" per se, just refresh, so cool water with appropriate very mild cleaner, and rinse rinse rinse.

Instead of ironing... roll it up in a cloth to get rid of as much extra moisture as possible. Then, smooth it out on a mirror or a piece of clean glass. It should dry perfectly smooth!

Are you going to back it with something like vilene to stabilise it? You can always experiment with iron temperatures with a scrap piece, of course.

So, I got this framed, entered in our State Fair, and won 1st place!! My daughter knew nothing about it until I brought her around to its display case at the fair. As soon as she saw it, her first comment was that it looked just like her own wedding bouquet, and then she was just blown away when she realized that it WAS her bouquet and that I had made it. It was a perfect surprise.
My framer and I went through about 20 different mats, (she usually likes 2 or 3 mats) and with all those purples, decided that only one matched and looked good. Plus I didn't want mat or frame to overwhelm the stitching
