It's done! WOO HOO! Here is the final picture.

It's now being washed. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on washing it. I decided to put it in the washing machine so first I put it inside a pillow slip and tied the neck closed so it can't get out. It's on the lowest temperature, 30 degrees, with a colourfast liquitab and fabric softener.

Fingers crossed for its survival! :x:

Pictures! Here's the whole thing, all crisp and white after surviving the washing machine with not a single thread coming loose, and being dried spread out on towels in a warm room...

Back of the daffodils - in the process of ironing on backing...

Covering with square of backing - took me ages cutting out 12 squares of that (I had help with the photo :lol: )

Since then I've frayed all the edges and knotted one of the short sides. It'll take me a couple of days to get the knotting done, but I'm well on target - I'm seeing my Mum on Friday!
