Mental health hospital

That must need an explanation.

When he was in high school my husband’s school band performed at the opening of a new Mental Health Hospital. The mayor was there, and staff and patients from the hospital. One of the songs they played was a compilation of commercial songs, including this one.

The patients laughed hysterically and gave a standing ovation. The suits all tried to look mortified….but couldn’t stop themselves from laughing.

It was done by accident. All the time practicing and nobody really made that connection…until the live performance. The conductor tried to throw them off, but the band was so good, even with the conductor all over the place, the song was still clear.
