Resort town in Argyll and Bute on the west coast on the forth of Lorn. Very picturesque.
28. Clootie Dumpling
Made with flour, breadcrumbs, dried fruit (sultanas and currants), suet, sugar and spice with some milk to bind it, and sometimes golden syrup. Wrapped in a cloth and boiled. It’s tastier than it sounds, I promise!
33. Shortbread
Traditional Scottish unleavened biscuit with a lovely crumbly texture.

You know, all the time I've lived here, and I've never had a clootie dumpling. Must change that next winter (why do I think of it as a Hogmanay thing?) And I might make some shortbread today... yum!
