Ali-cat's Jungle Alphabet - Finished

Post by ali-cat »

A friend, who had a gorgeous bouncy baby boy last year, remarked how busy I'd been cross stitching (having seen my photos on Facebook) and when I asked if she'd like something for her son, she said yes. :D I'm absolutely delighted to stitch something for little Robbie and found this design in a French Cross Stitch Magazine I only bought last week!!

I'll be stitching it on 14 or 18ct white aida as I think it would look even more colourful than on the linen in the picture. I'll be hopefully starting this tomorrow and really hope she likes it!!

This looks nice & colourful! Will you be putting Robbie's name and date on it as well?
I LOVE the cuddly leopards in the picture too! :applesauce:

Hadn't thought about that! :thinks: Might do his name, but as he's nearly a year old now, leave out his date of birth.

That is stunning!

Any idea where I could get a copy of it?
Happy stitching!

It's from a old French Cross Stitch mag (they sell previously un-sold ones in bundles :D ). If you want to PM me your name and address I'm more than happy to post the design, to you, when I'm finished! :D

I've been having lots of fun with this .... and I must admit I think the elephant looks darn cute!! :D

Some of the colours coming up, in the alphabet, are pale cream so I'll probably change them so they stand out a bit more on the white aida.

I've also made two mistakes already, but have let them go. The elephants trunk is only one stitch to far on one line, but looks ok - but the tree is one full line to high!! I'll just have to remember to change the other tree at the other side to match!! I totally blame the new meds I'm on as my head has been spinning for 10 days now and can hardly even remember what my name is!!

Mark.
