My finished projects and my latest SAL

Post by Corey.G »

Hey everyone. Since I'm new here I thought that I would show most of the projects that I have done. The latest one that I'm working on is these darned polar bears from a kit.....can't remember what it's called but it's the last picture. It's of a mother polar bear and two cubs. I say darned because it's taken me almost a year and I can't seem to get the inspiration to pick it up again. I want to try and finish it by Christmas. I'm hoping these forums will give me the get up and go, to get up and finish it. lol.

Great work Corey, especially the young dog and the grand piano - works of art.

I can understand about the bear and cubs as its so one colour -ish sort of. However you did do Elvis in almost one colour so I am sure you will get the bears done in time for Christmas - still a few weeks left until then.

I love that dalmatian puppy, I've seen him before and think he's so adorable!

Can I ask what the piano one is called? I think that's really nice and might like to add it to my to-do list :)

I can't imagine how difficult it must be to do the polar bears, stitching white on white is always difficult. Try picking it up just for an evening or two and see if you can get back into it, maybe while doing other small and more colourful projects inbetween? And of course start a SAL thread for it so we can all cheer you on, I find that so helpful and honestly inspiring when I'm struggling with something.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Love all the work! Great job :) . Good luck with those polar bears...the all shades of white and grey would not motivate me either...but it is beautiful and we'd all love to see updates if that will keep you motivated :D.

Love the dalmatian puppy (since we had one when I was a teen I am partial to them and now boxers). The piano is very nice, I'd like to do that one of these months or years. The Marilyn and Elvis are nice and the bears are looking great. I just stitched one polar bear, but I cannot imagine it would be much different from stitching the puppy as it is mostly white also...maybe you need something with more color, then your bug will return for this and you will want it finished so it doesn't weigh heavy on your stitching conscience.

Funny thing is I would like to know too. I picked up the design from the dollar store one day and I had lost the chart and never found it again. I would love to re-stitch it. I wish I knew who designed it.

I'm just glad that they're for someone else. I won't have to see then when they're done. The one and only time I'm doing a kit for someone.

Yes, I like dalmations, too, and the pup is adorable! The piano is great - love it. And do keep going with the polar bears! May be a bit daunting with shades of grey and white, but it will look terrific when it's finished!
