Hello, I'm new.

Post by xstitcherlisa »

I have just registered. My name is Lisa, 42 years young and a single mum to a teenage son of 14. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat. I have tried various crafts over the years, jewellery making, papercrafts, candlemaking and of course cross stitch which I have been doing for the last 12 years. I only stitch greeting cards as I don't have the patience to stitch anything bigger, I like to see the finished result fairly quickly. I look forward to being a member of this forum and making lots of new friends. :D

Yes. I'm doing my Xmas cards at the moment. I have just finished a Christening design for my great nephew's christening which is on Sunday. I have yet to put it in a card. What are you stitching?

I'll put it in a card first then I'll scan it into computer. I don't have a digital camera. Am hoping for one for Xmas. You will be very busy making your cushion. I love the Pooh designs, they're very colourful.

That's a good idea about using a phone. I'd have to get a data cable first though.

Sound's very hi-tech. I could do with an up to date phone that has a memory card as I have just got a new pc that takes memory cards.

Hi Lisa and welcome

I recognised your name from EMS.
I too like 'small' projects as I like to see a finish every so often :?
But I do have a couple of biggies on the go as well

Oh yes I am. I love pc's. Can't think what I did before I got one. And so handy for doing various things with cross stitch too.

I know. I find it so useful. What I do with all my charts is copy them. I turn them from colour into b/w then I cross the symbols off as I go with a highlighter so I know where I've been.
