Anyone interested in a UK Round robin ?
As promised on the other thread I would be happy to set up and organise a Round Robin within the UK.
If you're interested, all you need to do at this stage is PM me with whether you would prefer Aida, evenweave/linen or are happy to stitch on either. We'd be looking at a start date around the beginning of March and using Recorded Delivery post to mail our pieces around.
I'll see how much interest there is and take it from there !

Another one here who would like to know about how it works
Do you add a set number of stitches to a piece or do you just stitch as much as you can for a set amount of time?
Also - are you ok to join if you have just started to learn how to x-stitch? I've been stitching for about 9 months now and would be slightly worried in case I ballsed the piece up I was given

it would be great for an update on this.
If it has finished will there be another round? I would love to join.
First things first, could some one explan how a X-stitch round robin would work?

Re: Anyone interested in a UK Round robin ?
All,
When I first mentioned this there wasn't a lot of interest so it got put on the back burner and nothing was done. However, if there are enough people now who would like to do this, I'm happy to arrange it. We need a minimum of four people, all prepared to work on the same kind of fabric.
This is how it works - each person chooses a theme or pattern for their RR. It can be something as simple as asking each person to stitch flowers or you could choose a pattern and divide it up into sections for everyone to stitch a part of.
You then set up your fabric with the number of sections that need to be stitched and stitch the first one yourself. On the mailing date you then pass your piece to the next stitcher and at the same time you will receive a piece to stitch from another member of the group.
You are given a set time period to complete your part of the piece and then it gets passed on again and you receive the next piece. At the end, everyone gets back their original piece, fully complete for them to keep.
Here are a couple of pictures of RR's that I've done in the past (I hope)
If you're interested, pm me and let me know whether you prefer to work on Aida or evenweave/linen or don't mind either. I'll keep sign-ups open until Friday August 26th and then, if we have enough people we'll get this set up.
For posting reasons we need to keep this to UK / Europe only I'm afraid. any question - just ask !
