having to go shopping was just awful!

i ended up spending way more than i should have though. ha. have any of you ever heard of CrossStitcher? its a magazine from the UK for cross stitch enthusiasts and its full of such amazingly good ideas. well i found it and now im addicted! i also wish i lived in the UK, since some of the items for sale in the magazine you cant get here in the states. boo.

to the person from Australia~ im SUPER jealous. i've wanted to vist/live/never leave Australia since i was a little girl. one day i will get there. i know it.

if you want to see any of my work that i have done recently you can click on the link in my signature. it will take you to a place where all my work is displayed. or you can find me on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/FadedLeaves" target="_blank and its all in an album. :)

and thank you for such a warm welcome. i look forward to getting to know everyone on here.

awww  thank you. i like to make things and after my house started to become over run with things i decided i needed to get rid of them somehow! LOL

im starting on a new cross stitch today which is a custom order for a friend. here is a link... http://www.123stitch.com/cgi-perl/itemd ... em=07-2573" target="_blank

her husband is military and she asked for a custom military ornament. i found this and thought it would be adorable! i cant wait to get started on it. i better hurry though, Christmas is right around the corner! EEK!

I like your new project - it should be very well received by your friends.

As for wanting to live in Aussie, well I never did but as all my 5 'kids' plus their partners live here I decided it was time to move from Christchurch NZ.
You wouldn't like it much at the moment - a few days in the low 30's and very humid down here in Melbourne then tropical downpours followed by cold southerly winds and rain from the southern ocean. In other words all seasons in 1 week and the cycle keeps repeating.

Still it is a huge diverse country and my family are here and thats the main thing.
