Good morning and hello from NC!

Post by suepollock »

Hi everyone! I can't believe I just found the forum and I'm so excited. This looks great! I love meeting new stitchers and getting tips and techniques to make my stitching better. But I'm getting ahead of myself. My name is Sue (Pollock) and I am hopelessly addicted to cross stitch. I've done some time needlework for the past 40 years; now I stick mainly with cross stitch and crochet (once in a blue moon.) I love the larger projects and lots of PHDs (Potential Happy Dances) in the works now.

I really look forward to reacquainting with some old friends and making many new friends on the forum. So I'm off now to explore!
Happy Stitching,
~Sue P~

Oh wow...another stitcher in NC! This is great!!! The snow is okay but this ice is the pits! I'm in Kernersville and we have about 2 inches but a solid layer of ice on top of it. Personally, I think it's a great day to stay inside and stitch. I'm working on the Angel of Cross Stitch as a SAL in my group with a few of the other ladies and I decided to keep it going for a few days longer. I hope you've managed with the snow as well and I look forward to getting to know you better, as well as the other ladies here.
Happy Stitching,
~Sue P~

Hi Sue and Welcome from Australia, the land of contrasts.

Oh that snow sounds lovely, its very humid here and the sky keeps dripping every so often but hey thats ok, at least we are not coping with the floods like the north of my state (Victoria) and even worse up in Queensland. Out in Western Australia there are bush fires!.

I am looking forward to settling to some stitching very soon and then an afternoon tea birthday party for Miss 7 yr old. Just wrapped up her quilt which I managed to finish in time.

Hey Sue. Welcome from South Carolina. We have 9" of snow with a layer of ice on top. You got off easy! Enjoy looking around. I'm fairly new here myself, but am enjoying seeing everyones works and meeting all the friendly stitchers!
