This quilt is lovely. Everything matches so well too. I know that stitchers from all around the world stitch the cross stitched bits but wondered about other aspects of the quilt. Who designs the whole thing? Who provides the fabric?

Hi Rosemary - Usually the children/parents request a theme eg cats, princesess, cars etc (this was an emergency quilt so we used the squares that people donated). I designed this one and really enjoyed it! We ask people if they would like to donate to help with the making of the quilts, whether it be fabric or a small monetary donation. So far since 2008 we have made 51 quilts!

You have done a great job of the design it all works so well together. What happens if the people are not able to give a donation, I presume that they still receive the quilt and that there are always enough in the funds to cover costs or am I wrong?

The quilts are given to the children with no cost to their families - please check out the website http://www.lovequiltsuk.com" target="_blank" target="_blank and you can see the previous quilts which we made :D 8)

I have had an email back from the child's mum who received the quilt and he loves it :D

Sorry for the questions. I have just looked at the site and thought that it is brilliant, so moving but also very, very positive and uplifting.

I will send a cheque in the next few days to help with the purchase of fabric as I m not able to stitch at present.

Wow - that was unexpected!! Thank you so much!!!!! It is amazing how much it costs with the fabric and postage, but it is such a heart warming experience when we receive a photo of the children with their quilts. Hope you will get back to stitching soon :D

Sorry, final question, do I make the cheque out to Love Quilts or to Katherine. which is easiest regarding cashing to pay for fabric?
