Threads in use

Hi to everyone 
I am curently working on Down by the Canal by DMC and have three cards with threads on.
After trying and failing to find somewhere convienent to put them all I found a straw hat. I put all the threaads into the bowl of the hat and arranged the cards with the symbols uppermost around the rim.
I find it now a lot easier to find the thread I want instead of having to shuffle the cards to find the correct colour.
