The topic of card embroidery has been circulating in a couple of cross stitch groups I belong to. Thought I'd share it here. It seems to be a European craft, not known much in the US. I think their lovely.
I've seen this, it's making it's way into the paper-craft/card making world here. I've not tried it yet myself but I'd like to. I think it involves piercing holes in the card and then stitching through them.
I remember doing something similar with nails in a board in school for geometry. We actually had to plot the line equations for each thread.
A stitch in time is my idea of a perfect day!

Thanks for the reminder. I have had the stitchingcards website bookmarked for some time. I think I printed out one of the freebies to try but haven't got round to it yet.
my hubby still has a nail and board creation in the attic
My step-father (artist and engineer) made bunches of these nail and wire creations. They were rather wonderful. Still have one -- black and silver -- very arty. Then he discovered stained glass... and Mondrian was never safe again!
