About 25 miles west of me lies the Okefenokee Swamp and it's currently on fire! My power has flickered and gone out several times and ash is decorating cars and they expect the fire to get worse.

I thought the sky was suppose to be blue.


This one was taken from just outside the side of my complex.

Its been very bad for fires here in the UK as well this spring - our mountain opposite our house has had about 6 fires on it this year - they often burn the bracken in Feb, but this time its all got out of control and burned trees as well. Its doing a hell of a lot of damage.

The winds have changed so the smoke has cleared out for now but the swamp is still on fire. We need some rain but last time I said that we got a hurricane so I'm trying not to say it outloud.

don't think hurricane. I know what you mean. I was here for Hugo and went down to Florida after Wilma to help my Father (85 then) and my Step-mom (84). Think heavy rain. That can't hurt.
