My son was able to send me the information for when they will be returning home. He gets to his base on the 13th of December. We are going to fly out and meet the plane so I can give him a big hug. Will be gone for 4 days. Then they have a week of debreifing and redeployment paper work but they are going to be released on the 23rd and we can pick him up in San Fransisco the evening of the 23rd. He gets to be home for Christmas this year and his Birthday. I am so happy. It is my best present ever.

They get a full months leave. He will be home with us for 2 weeks then he and 5 of his buddies plan to meet at one's house in Arkansasand they are going to travel together to everyones family. They all want to see the others families and then end up back in Colorado. He will stay there until July 12th then he will go to Georgia for Ranger basic training for 8 weeks after that he goes to North Carolina for 10 months of medical training for his field surgeon training. Once he finishes that he will ship to his new unit, whereever that might be. But I don't care as he will be home in the states for almost 2 years and that is much better then the last 15 months.
