cardinal pics

Post by crossstitchpro »

I haven't had time to just sit and visit here for a while....miss it too. After the holidays when things settle down to normal, I'll be able to.
Anyway, I just posted a pic of the cardinal I'm working on. It's for a Christmas gift for my Mom.
Also, I posted a pic of my backyard. We got 6" of snow last night and it's beautiful. Both pics are in the WIP album.

It's looking good Lori!

I love cardinals! Missouri state bird of course. I can remember seeing them on a cold winter's morning as a kid, and their song is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard.
A stitch in time is my idea of a perfect day!

How lovely, Lori. The colour of the cardinal is stunning - where the word 'cardinal' for the senior priests comes from, of course. We don't have cardinals in the UK, unfortunately. The snow looks very festive - we've got frost. Will that do for Santa, do you think?

I do miss snow. My sister currently has 10" of white fluff, the fink, and school will probably be closed so she will have a day to stay home in front of the log fire. NOT FAIR.

The cardinal is such a lovely bird, and your stitching sets him off to perfection.
