Started stitching again....

Post by crossstitchpro »

I've been so busy with non-stitching stuff these last few weeks. Things have settled down a bit and I started a new piece. It's a sunflower from one of Van Gogh's paintings. I also crocheted a 26" diameter doily if you care to take a peek.
The sunflower is in the WIP album(including a virtual stitch image) and the doily has an album of its own.

That is going to be gorgeous. The colors are very bright do you tend to have any trouble with all that yellow shining back at you?

Can I come live with you???? Please the picture of the snow in your back yard makes me long for the snow.

I have the chart of that in my stash-to-do! My friend did it for her daughter and it looks fantastic. Hope you enjoy it!

:!: It's the original chart...not a copy, Rose :!: :D

Lovely sunflower. And nice doily too. I have done a lot of crochet in the past but my hands can't cope with the constant activity required for it now. My mum does a lot and I have to keep providing projects for her to do. I have doilies all over the house and in cupboards and drawers too

I meant the bright yellow that she is stitching with.

Sometimes when I am stitching with a bright color on a large area I have to stop and rest my eyes.

The Doily looks like lace work, it is so delicate :D
The sunflower is going to be lovely, I long for some color at the moment, I have just finished working on lots of white and pale blue snow, and have now hit lots of brown rocks.
