That butterfly is just so delicate and beautiful Tracy and I love how you have persevered with the moon too until it too looks fabulous. A huge well done.

Thanks too for posting the pics of all your beautiful work on the walls - they look right at home.

Beautiful beautiful work Tracy! I love the AAN Butterfly and the fabric you chose is one of my favourites - the stitching is so delicate and lacy! Your perseverance on the moon definitely paid off - it is stunning!

Beautiful work on the butterfly, and I love that fabric. Interesting designs on the moon too, that gold star looks perfect. :applesauce:

Well you won't have to wait too long as here it is finished (FINALLY!!!)

It took me two nights struggling with the blue kreinik to stitch the face (never again will I use this colour! - as soon as I cut a bit off to use a little strand no thicker than a hair would split off and get tangled....) and on top of that I had a little break in the fabric that I managed to fudge over

I have also hung a few more things
my fractal combo at work:

and after almost 2 years since my grandad passed away I have finally got up the cross stitch him of his place and the photos that I also had framed

:applesauce: the moon is lovely. the struggle with the krenik looks worth it, though maybe other metallics next time will be easier. Your framed pieces look great too.

Your moon is beautiful Tracy! Well done for struggling with the pesky Kreinik - despite the fact it may have been a nightmare to work with, the end result was worth it!

So in this thread this year I aim on having a minimum of FOUR finishes. So far I have two - Sweet Moon and Butterfly. Another I plan on having finished is the HAED SAL - Teddy Bear Tree.

Finally the fourth one I hope to be Country Threads "Wildflowers". Long time members of the forum may remember me working on this a couple of years ago. Well it has been screaming at me that it has been ignored (and having not been stitched on since July 2010 I see it's point) for a while so I dug it out and started on it again. I can only work on it during my lunchtimes and at stitching group where I have the brightest light due to it being on black so the progress is slow but steady but there is still a fair way to go....

Where I put it down at in 2010:

What I have added since picking it up on the 1st of March:

That is lovely. those colors on the black fabric are just amazing. I can see why you need really good light though to stitch on the black. Is there a picture of what the whole design is? I love wildflowers.
