lovely! just beautiful!
if your having trouble with the tightness of french knots try a milliners needle, the eye is the same thickness of the shaft so it fits through the loops of the knot easy. I didnt think I would improve on my knots untill I tried a milliners.

Wonderful! Will you be showing a close-up of the effect of the French knots when they're done?

Of course! I will probably take (and show you all) more pictures than you care to see!Mabel Figworthy wrote:Will you be showing a close-up of the effect of the French knots when they're done?

I've finished all the cross stitches and am about halfway through the backstitches on this piece. There is a lot of dotted lavender backstitch that I don't have a symbol color for on my pattern. Please help! Thanks!

I had to contact the manufacturer when I was stitching this one to find out the color for that purple dashed line. I found out it is supposed to be color 6237, Dark Yellow Grey. Congratulations on getting so far with this piece! You are almost there!!!

How are you doing and all the hard (and maybe sometimes boring) French knots?

I've put this one aside until I've finished my Chatelaine. The Chat is for my mom for Christmas, and I know it's quite an undertaking. So, it's the only thing I'm working on until it's done. I got pretty far on the French knots though, so I shouldn't have too many left to do when I can return to it.avna wrote:How are you doing and all the hard (and maybe sometimes boring) French knots?
