Post by Stitchindude »

The second day of the week and everyone is here,
Answer my riddle correctly, and we will all cheer!

Six seamstresses could sew six seams in twenty minutes. How many seamstresses would be needed to sew thirty-six seams in two hours?

six? :?

Have added my working out to show how I got there, incase it's horribly wrong.

If 6 can produce 6 seams in 20 mins. Then 120 mins (6 x more time) will give 6 x more production ... 6 x 6 = 36 seams.

I tend to skip the math problem and let someone else answer also.

I'm really enjoying the riddles, so thank you Stitchindude. :D
I tend to read the riddle and try to work it out before scrolling down to see anyones answers (mostly you all beat me to it, lol).

With todays, I'm really not very good at maths, but I like 'having a go' so I was pleased I'd got it right.
