Happy mothering sunday everyone :toast: I got a lovely handmade card and bunch of flowers from my little one (well from daddy really since I don't think a 14 month old is capable of buying flowers yet  ). Have been enjoying breakfast in bed, play time and a bit of stitching time and even get an evening without cooking :D

To be pedantic, it's Mothering Sunday today. mothers Day is 13thMay. So the savvy should make sure you get two lots of loving from your kids!!

Went to a nice service this morning, but the Bishop was there and it was vvvvvvverrrrrrrryyyyyy long. My vicar said he'd been worried I was going to keel over in the middle of it! But I didn't thankfully and revived somewhat with cake and orange juice afterwards! But it was lovely with flowers handed out to everyone so I could pretend I was a mum as well! Missed my gran.

I do think it's lovely to have a day (or two!!!!) that really celebrates family and the connections within. I hope that sentiment stays in focus within the commercial overkill!

We had a lovely day today. I was presented with a Jayne Netley Mayhew cross stitch book and a hand made card with a stitched heart on it from my eldest, which was lovely, and a lie in until 8.00am. Bliss!! I missed my usual 8.00am church service and 10.00am orchestra rehearsal and went to church at 10.00am with the girls instead where it was complete mayhem. Children everywhere!!! We had a leisurely lunch and then over to see my mum and dad, and all of my nephews and nieces turned up, so granny had all her children and grandchildren there at the same time. Then chicken casserole out of the slow cooker for dinner, so no faffing around cooking tonight and a lovely leisurely evening of stitching ahead of me once the girls are in bed. Heaven! :cloud9:
Hope everyone else has had a lovely day too.
