Thank you Richard and I also am eager to see the star of the design and Laverne will no doubt be a constant supervisor when I get to that point.

I'm glad Laverne is doing a good job of supervising you. :-) This is a great update!

What sizes hoop are you using? It looks nice and big - perfect for the Lowery.

Congratulations on finishing the top row. :applesauce: This piece is absolutely adorable. I have a niece who looked a lot like this little girl when she was young.

Thanks for sharing your update. :D

:applesauce: :applesauce: Excellent progress! This looks like one where you really have to stand back to see the overall effect - so much background!

Carole, I just stumbled upon this thread and I have to say that I definitely love it!

The design in great (and has a cat in it, that's always a plus), your progress is great, and miss Laverne is like a cherry on top of everything :)

I can't believe it has taken me this long to get back to this design. It is now on a front burner. Page 8 is finished and I'm moving right on to page 9 (head, face and not sure how much more of the adorable little ballerina will show up). Will keep at it until something else starts to scream loudly (I have a noisy crew of projects)

Laverne still helps but as she is getting older (will be 17 in March), much prefers supervising from my lap than getting into the thick of it. However, sitting in front of my iPad (which is what I now use for my chart - love it) so I can admire her while she studies my progress) is at least a several times a day occurrence.

Thanks for looking!

I wondered what had happened to this. It was only the re-appearance of 'The Hermit' that reminded me I'd not seen it for a while. Would never have guessed it was over a year, though.

As usual, your stitching is beautiful. And Laverne, well, who could complain at age 17, if she wants to slow down a bit?

Regards,

Richard.

:applesauce: I agree with Richard---amazing stitching and great update on this one!! As for Laverne, she's entitled to be a bit lazy--I have a couple of birds that are that way--Gizmo my grey cockatiel is 23 years old and is sweet as can be but does do a lot of sleeping now and Louie is my 20 yr old Bourke's Parakeet and just now starting to slow down a bit!!!

 A great update on this interesting one and you are making good progress once again. Good on Miss Lavern for taking it easy, she is entitled to it. I know just how she feels. :D Sending a gentle ear scratch from dopey Tuppy trying to find a cool place to sleep

That is coming along nicely. Lovely to see more colours appearing. Glad Laverne still keeps you company. What a great age she is. :)

Page 9 is complete and I loved stitching it! As this is my "focus piece" right now I will be returning to it more often and am going to try to stay with it for at least 2 pages before moving on. Laverne is clearly interested in helping me stitch (which is easy when I'm not using my Lowry stand, but we'll see what happens since my next WIP is Little Dreamer's Tree on a scroll frame (thanks again Debby) and easier to stitch when using the stand.
