Tiffstitches Crazy Carnival Adventure WON 2ND PLACE!

So in the chart exchange I chose this great carnival chart. And our fair has a "fairgrounds" theme this year for submissions. The fair is over Labour Day weekend (end of August) so I have almost 3 months to finish. I started June 1st, and here's my progress:

I'm stitching on 28 Count Lugana, a silkweaver piece that has subtle pinks in it as well. I think it will work out nicely. The only thing is I need to find a way to get some GlissenGloss thread. And how to afford it. I'm sure we'll figure out something. I had almost all the DMC I needed, so that was very helpful. Wish me luck!

How exciting the pattern fit straight to a theme you need. Good luck! I am excited to see you stitch this. The pattern was in my stash and I knew i wouldn't get around to stitching it, and it's fantastic I get to see someone do it!

That looks good already and you have made a lot of progress. I'm sure you will be able to submit it at the fair (and win a gold ribbon!)
I think my LNS sells Glisten Gloss if you have trouble finding it, let me know what you need and I will check with her. Would give me an excuse to go there before my monthly stitching group so you could be doing me a favor - of sorts.

And here's my progress after 2 weeks. It is fun to stitch, but there's a lot of backstitch. A lovely forum member is sending me the needed GlissenGloss thread, thank you again! I'm going to stitch it all the way across first, and then go up more. The GG is needed a lot on the ferris wheel, which you can just see the start of on the left. The red things are the cars and the greys are the supports.
