Thank you!

I haven't done any backstitching yet, (well besides the stems of the flowers next to Roo) as while I like the effect it does, it's boring work. I also didn't realise the flower are all french knots. I am terrible at french knots!

OK latest update. And I need truly honest opinions.

Image

To me it looks slightly off center. This would be as a result of my stuffing up stitches. The honey pot at Pooh's head is also slightly off but I don't think it's that noticeable.

Due to the stitching being off will be adding some more honey bees than the pattern calls for (around Pooh)

Is it off center? Is it something that's noticeable?

I can't tell if it is off center or not. I think a honeybee or two by Pooh's head might balance off where the honey pot looks like it is a bit lower than the others. If by off center you mean the piece isn't centered on the fabric, you could probably make an adjustment when framing to even that up. Matting can really help with that. It is really an adorable sampler and I'm sure will be appreciated.

It's really looking great. I thought it looked familiar and checked my files and found it. It's one that a friend had started and then asked me if I'd complete it and here is what the one I did looked like when finished.

I must say it wasn't my favorite one to do, partly because it's was already started and it needed a few 'fixes' and the placement of the honey pots and bees was quite annoying.

I do think if you add an extra bee or two, it will look just great!!!

Thank you for showing me yours! It's great to see how it will look.

Ill put an update when I finish Pooh. (Hopefully tomorrow. The shorts now done just his yellow to fill in. He's annoying as the thread is not the greatest for some reason) I added a bee up top as well as scattered to the side and looks much better.

Ill he putting this one aside before doing any backstitching as tiny bit over it and this baby isn't due till August and want to do one for my former flatmate whose baby is now here.

I texted the photo to my boyfriend, who is not very forthcoming with praise. Got a 'wow looks half decent' which is HIGH praise from him so very happy right now!

So I have now finished the main stitching! I'm putting it aside before doing the backstitching and the baby isn't due till July/August so not much I can do till then.

I'm about to start on my next one (for bubs who is here) but the chart I printed off is hard to read which is not good!

Seeing this has made my day. :D
Pooh and friends are a very special memory for me of wonderful times spent with my son when he was little. He turned 23 yesterday.
You did a wonderful job on a frustrating pattern. I know the sampler will be treasured.
Cheers :wine:
