Kell's Floral biscornu!! It is such a beautiful design and I think it's the prettiest one I've ever seen!! I'm not very happy with my finishing on this, unfortunately - so I'm going to do another one, in different colours and see if I can make a better job of it.

I only started this yesterday and could have finished it yesterday, but Mark wanted dinner and you know what men are like without food!!

Some more trying my skills.

the same motif in a biscornu pattern:

I am sure it would look lovely with other colours as well.

Here is a pair-chart for the geometric one I made before, I made the two up into a biscornu.

Wandatoo wrote:Just finished Kell's lovely Rainbow bookmark. I used DMC 666,740,444,703, 198, 554 and 550. I think this would be lovely in several shades, so I'll probably do it again!
Thanks, Kell!

My sis wants an easy pattern but something she will use thinking of showing her this....how did you fray your edges?

I have been feeling really low these days so I decided I need something to cheer me up. I have stitched a small gift bag with the saying "Smile and the world smiles back at you" before, bu then I was using a small free pattern with it. Now, I decided to make my own, and develop it into a sampler-style thing.

I really would love to know your opinion of it. Thanks.

My very first try at making a chart. I hope there's nothing (too) wrong with it...

Colors are DMC

A mini blackwork biscornu, if it can be called a biscornu at all, since it doesn't have sharp corners, rather wavy edges. The arrows show how to match the sides: green arrow with the gree, re with the red.

See the stitched version in the Minis thread.

Oh, and another one, a really coourful geometric pattern. I think it would look good with different shades of the same colour, two :thinks:

A set of four miniature seasonal blackwork band samplers:

And the four of them together as one, long band sampler (which I think would also work well as a bookmark, which is how I intend to finish it):

The Spring one was published on my Kincavel Krosses blog today and the rest will be released every other day over the next week. :)

Here are my newest attempts. I used a circle as a basis and first designed some geometric patterns and them some more flowing ones. I hope someone out there will like them. :) I am planning to stitch some of them on a strip of fabric and use it, perhaps, for decorating a shelf. But it's just a vague idea yet.

This is a good one to play around with different colours or variegated threads, I think.

Then two variations of the same pattern:

I used part of Kell's design to make a thank you card for my boyfriend's mother (she came to visit on our ski season and treated us to lots of lovely meals etc). LOVE the way it turned out!

Thanks so much for posting the design!

Found myself inspired this morning. This one is for all the fans of Terry Pratchett's Discworld:

Anyone who's read any of the Discworld novels will know that Granny Weatherwax wears a sign saying this when she goes "borrowing". ;)
