I'd agree, that if you had a special friendship with Jaymes mum then it would be nice to send it still and she would appreciate it alot. If it was more just because you were with Jaymes, then I think I'd put the past firmly in the past, so as to not make things awkward for either yourself or her and Jaymes.

U have made great progress and i cant add anything to what everyone has said, the only thing i can say is u are the only one that can decide on what u want to do with it and if u feel u should send it then do, if not then dont. But u need to ask urself if u feel ok with which u pick.

I never really spoke to his mum. I rarely went to that house, but she was always nice to me and always sent me presents for my birthdays and christmas and we did get on well the few times we were on our own.

I think giving it to your sister if you don't give it to Jaym's mum is a lovely idea. And the advice to set the piece aside and think about it for a while is very sound. Evidently there are some wise souls on this forum!

I don't think I'll set it aside as I do enjoy doing it. I just need to figure things out about who to give it to. I do still talk to Jayms and still consider him to be my friend, but I'm not sure how awkward giving her this would be. Not only between me and Jayms, but me and Ash too.
