Finally picked up my HAED again last week after leaving it for ages. I've been quite enjoying it - but it's still just background



and this shows how much I've still got to go ...

Yep, I agree with Bert. I'd think of it in terms of squares or blocks and count how many are done, rather than looking at the empty ones. I think you'll find it builkds up quicker in that way.

I've taken your advice everyone and wrapped up the 'empty' fabric. I've folded and pinned it at the top and bottom so now I can just concentrate on what I'm doing rather than what I've still got left!

Oh no ... realised just before going to bed last night that I had been using the wrong shade of blue for the last hour. It is sooo difficult to frog with this project - I am not looking forward to it this morning at all

Done it - it took hours but I'm back to where I should have been last night

I did think of just leaving it - and already have done so for the odd stitch here and there that's gone wrong - but it's so difficult with this to see how the design is shaping up that I didn't want to take a chance with a larger area.
