Here is my part 1 of the Fleur de Lys SAL on Facebook (and a huge thanks to Mrs Milkybar Kid for sharing the info about this SAL):

Image

The fabric is PTP 28 count Lugana "prank" (it isn't quite as orange in person). I found some overdyed floss from a previous project so I'm using that for the green. The other colors (the yellow and the brown) are just regular DMC. I experimented with different fabrics and this one won handsdown. I also experimented with using two strands or one, and I decided I liked it best with one.

I'm behind on this (if I want to keep up with the SAL releases), but thanks to ignoring my Halloween Night and Past, Present, Forever, I was able to get part one done. Yay.

I was attracted to it when I first saw it...intriguing is a good word for it. I hope I like it as it goes on...I've never done an actual SAL, so it's hard to even decide what colors to use. I guess I could have taken the easy way out and just used one color. :-)

Part Two is done. I changed out the yellow for a brighter one and I'm much happier with it.

Now back to Disney and/or Halloween Night...at least until Part Three comes out.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Looks great. I just saw it on FB also. Part 3 is out. As soon as my floss arrives I will decide on fabric and get started. Looks like the first few parts don't take a lot of time?

It's a pretty quick stitch, although I have to refer to the picture at times to see if the stitches should go across one or two squares. I've never done blackwork so it's been fun. I'll start tackling part three tonight after I decide what color to use.

I think you'll really enjoy it.
