JE Snow Princess- finished :)

Post by Fizzbw »

I've had this one kitted up for a while so I thought I'd do it now In between HAEDs....

This is what she will look like:

Image

And my progress (started the day before yesterday). As ever JE's designs stitch up fast as they are so intuitive. For the first time I'm doing the skin 1 over 1, the rest is 2 over 2 on 28 count Polstitches jobelan fabric. Though it's actually 30 count due to the shrinkage....

The fabric is folded over slightly at the right side so it's not as near the right side as it looks. I'm wondering whether to not do the snow flakes and snow though so it's more appropriate for all year round...

Very nice piece to work on in between a HAED to break away from and see progress move quicker to get inner accomplishment completed. Off to a nice start.

Very pretty, I love all the animals! Personally I would do the snow and the snowflakes, and leave it up all year anyway. I only differentiate if it has wreaths or Christmas trees, then it goes in with the Christmas stuff.

Beautiful start! I'd definitely add the snow, unless you want to chart hooves for the little deer.

I'll do the snow they are standing on. I'm just not sure about the snow flakes, or is that just because I hate random one stitches?? Hummm.

Power outage again today so I've been stitching her by mini light again!

She is beautiful! Did this pattern come out of a magazine? I looked for it and I can't seem to find it.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Beautiful start, Niki. She is going to be so lovely and it is good to have pieces that stitch up a little faster than the HAEDs do. And a JE princess is such a great design to choose for that!

I actually find my soul giggles when I stitch one of JE's ladies.

The design is in a book that was released before Christmas last year. It's called Christmas Cross Stitch treasures by Joan Elliot, published by Annie's Cross stitch. They won't be released as chart packs by Joan due to her contract with them, as she mentioned on Facebook.

There is also a fab design of Santa on a reindeer! And some cute ones and a nice 12 days of Christmas sampler. Yell if you need the ISBN.

Don't her designs just make you happy when you look at them let alone stitch them, this is coming along brilliantly already, as for the snowflakes i would do all the rest first then see if you feel it seems to be missing something if not leave them out otherwise do them but only you will know once you get there :)

She's beautiful!! I love the little animals. I'd leave that one up all year, even with the snowflakes. After all, it's always snowing somewhere, right? :-)

I've never done a JE design, but if she makes the soul giggle, I think I will. I have the Christmas book...or where is it? I know it's here somewhere. Scavenger hunt!!
