So I have been stitching one project since I complete my mermaid. My little sister got me this project for Christmas, and my DH gave me a lovely Mother's Day present, which was enough floss to complete 2 projects that I want to do in the future, and this one.

Here is my start of A Pair of Shoes by Van Gogh, which will eventually land up in my hallway.

What a great idea, choose a well known artist or painting and then stitch it! Much more original than buying a print and it's something that can be much more appreciated as you have put a lot of time and effort into it. Great start and I look forward to seeing it progress.

I decided for this one to go with 14ct. Thought that I needed a new challenge.

So, here is my progress from last week. I have managed to finish the first page.

You said in a previous post that this is 14 ct. fabric. It doesn't look like 14 ct. It looks like a 28 ct that is gridded for over-one (blue) and over-two (pink).

Apologises it is 28ct. My other project that I completed the other day was on 14ct.

Congratulations on finishing the first page! I always love the feeling that gives me, a real sense of accomplishment, though every page done feels good, there is something about that first page on a large project that feels special. Beautiful update!! Looking forward to more!
