Oh I love the colours and that a nice and thoughtful gift this blanket will make - I'm sure it'll be highly appreciated!

Well. That didn't work very well... bet you didn't know about chenille yarn and worms, either, did you? If you look very closely at the weaving, you'll see it doesn't really hold together properly -- the edges bulge, it looks as if I've skipped pegs... worms, in a word... Anyone want lots of lovely, soft baby yarn?
Anyway, so I started again today, with a much better yarn (Cygnet 'seriously chunky', in a colourway called "Macaw" for obvious reasons). Now the only question is whether the lad (for it is a lad who arrived THREE WEEKS EARLY, bless him) will get a migraine...

The colors are really bright and cheery! I'm sorry that the yarn wouldn't cooperate with you but I'm sure you'll find some way to use it!

Shame the previous one didn't work, but on the other hand it's all a learning experience, and this next one is looking absolutely brilliant! (I think I need sunglasses

And here it is, complete with double Damascus hem! It is just about in focus -- camera had a bit of trouble!
And thank you, Wendy Wombat! Your latch hook really came into its own. Such a help.

Peg looms are wonderfully forgiving. And quick -- when the time can be found, anyway! I've now wrapped it up for giving to the new mum and dad, and have included the little sample I originally wove to check it would work. It's little and squiggie, with none of the ends woven in, and the baby might enjoy it. (Equally, they might be horrified, and throw it out, but that's not my problem!)
