Both looked good to me, but what counts is what looks good to you and feels good and is fun to stitch! :whoop: for your new new start. I can't wait to see your updates. So many things in that design would put me in a :tizzy: though I've thought about it.

Carole, I did thought about your experience when I made my decision :)
I think the problem was a combination of everything too crowded and my eyesight not good enough even with the magnifier to risk...
I like this design too much and don't wan't too loose the feeling for it having to start over when I am too much into it

Better changing now than later. Crafts seem to require a lot of patience. Sometimes, the project dictates our next step.
Your work is very neat. I love the colours :)

Whew, it took me longer than I expected being still on sick leave, but the schedule of my leg's physical therapy has been quite tight the last few weeks and also the amount of confetti in this project is, well, lets say it is a bit more intense that I wished for :D
Anyway after having restarted it on 25 count magic guide it has been much more comfortable to work on and I finally finished page 1!

Just looking at the amount of parked threads freaks me out a bit :tizzy:

I decided to work down on to page 15 so to give the dancer a body, also I think I will stitch one "country" at the time instead of going in row of pages, this way i will have several finishes until i am done.
Thanks for looking!!

Stunning.

So many parked threads.
Remind me not to look at your progress again because I don't want to scare myself too much.

Regards,

Richard

:applesauce: :applesauce: Congratulations on finishing a very lovely and clearly confetti filled first page! I agree that the confetti can feel overwhelming at times, but is so worth it in the very end because it will be awesome in its detail. Looking forward to the next update!

PRETTY! Looks nicer on the magic guide as well. I have yet to start my first HAED, because of all the block confusion in my head. How are you translating the number of "stitches" in each gridded section to the over one aspect? In my silly brain, a 10x10 fabric grid would really be a 20x20 on the actual pattern....maybe? Ugh, just trying to make sense of that give me a headache again, lol.

Gosh I am afraid my English is not good enough to venture in a detailed explanation, I hope somebody else will do... but no.. a 10x10 fabric grid is a 10x10 pattern grid....

A 10 x 10 box is 10 stitches by 10 stitches = 100 stitches in each "box". Sounds like you are assuming that each square = two threads, as if you were stitching 2 over 2 as many patterns stitched on evenweave or linen are done. HAEDs (and actually in my experience most charts) have each square equaling one stitch. The difference is how many threads of the fabric you are stitching over.

Oriettait, my explanation doesn't seem much better than yours. Your English is very good. Someone better at explaining things (and we have some really good explainers) will have to take over.
