:applesauce: :whoop: That is really beautiful and so so elegant. You are doing a wonderful job of stitching on the black, something I could never do.

Woops.
It's looking good, but I do hope you can match the thread.

Looking fab.

Was the DMC white/Blanc or Bright white B2500? They are different, or 3866 is almost white as well. Choices....

Well, the kit is old and the skein I bought (Bright White B2500) did not match. I looked through my stash and found a random but more appropriate white. With this kit, it is weird that I have struggled not to waste any thread for some colours and other colours are plentiful

Anyway, I finished the swan. Only back stitch and ripples to go. :whoop:

I took the photo in the garden to have true light. The second photo is of a little fox, living nearby, which keeps coming in the garden in broad daylight!

The swans are so pretty!! And the little fox is cute...he looks skinny...he might be wanting a real swan baby for dinner.

It looks so stunning! And you can't tell that you used some other white!!

Ow, and that cute little fox! And I agree with Debby. He looks really skinny and small.

Lovely. Truly lovely.

We had a fox with mange visit our garden a few times, once on Christmas day during daylight. I fear that one didn't last long. The cub in your garden looks a bit skinny, though not excessively so as foxes are a lot thinner than most people expect - winter fur seems to fatten them up a lot. It may be wise to ping the photo to the RSPCA and ask if they think it looks OK.

Love this, it is beautiful. Would love to stitch it myself but not sure I could cope with the black fabric now
How lovely to have a fox in your garden.

I thought that I could never work on black evenweave but I got used to it. Good natural light and a white cloth on my lap helped a lot (+ a magnifying glass!) I think that I will be happy to do my next project on Aida though! :D

I think that it is a good idea, thank you. It seems to have to scratch an awful lot too! :?

:applesauce: :applesauce: The swans are absolutely beautiful. We used to have a fox visit our back yard years ago, but too much development around us now makes that a very very rare, actually an non existent, occurrence. I expect yours has at the very minimum fleas. Is he a regular visitor? Perhaps he has seen you creating the swans and like Debby said, perhaps he is looking for one for himself

Thank you for all your encouragements! :) I needed them, as I found the black evenweave a bit of a strain for my eyes. It was not too bad, though, as there weren't any confetti at all.
Here it is FINISHED! :whoop:
As it is a "funny shape" I will get it framed at a framing shop, for once.
Thanks again.
