Nocturne, Updated 2020
I have restarted Nocturne on 25 count Lugana. I'm tenting, 3 over 1 on the dark and mid tones and 2 over 1 on the light tones. Hopefully I can finish quicker with the tenting! This also takes the chart size down to a more conservative finished size. It is unfortunate to restart after all the stitching I've done (I'd almost finished 5 pages!) but I really think it’s worth it. I restarted it on the 2nd September and have managed to complete the following in a month (with full crosses this would have taken me about two or three months):

Re: Nocturne Restart, October 10th 2014
You are so gutsy for restarting, especially after 5 pages!! The tent stitching looks great, can't wait to see your progress.

Re: Nocturne Restart, October 10th 2014
Thanks you all for being so encouraging! Initially I was a bit concerned as this is my first time tenting and using 25 count fabric but I'm happy with the results and speediness of it

It's brilliant! very brave to restart but a good decision. Do you park or cross country stitch?

Re: Nocturne Restart, October 10th 2014
Hi Niki, I cross country... I generally work one page at a time from left to right gradually working my way down the page. So I don't necessary skip around doing all of one color on the whole page before moving to the next color (hopefully that makes sense).Fizzbw wrote:It's brilliant! very brave to restart but a good decision. I can't get my head around parking, it just doesn't make sense to me! I figure it's easier to use the whole lot of the thread before moving onto the next thread or color... Besides I'm positive I would manage to tangle any loose threads if I did attempt it. In my mind this would very quickly turn into a nightmare scenario as I think I have a talent for tangling things up!

That is very good, well done on what you have completed so far. You have got excellent facial expression stitched. Amazing. Look forward to seeing more
