Fair enough.

Oh my, more wonderful designs & stitching from you Mabel. Both very pretty but I just love the turquoise one. I wonder why

Leaf number 6. This one is going to be the one with the most alternatives - I've got four options listed so far, and could think of several more (but I won't). In fact, you could probably do the whole tree with variations on this theme, but that might get a bit dull
. Leaf 7 uses couching and will probably take a bit longer; we've got a trade fair coming up and I may take it as my evening project.

I didn't manage to do any stitching while we were away (but then it was for work, so perhaps I shouldn't have expected it
) but now that we're back I did finish the 7th leaf, which uses shaded couching.
And here is a not altogether accurate impression of what the finished tree will look like; in reality the leaves will be much closer together, and the trunk will be stitched rather than drawn onto the photograph

I modified Mabel's free anchor design into a cross for a Baptism. I couldn't use the beautiful jeweled cross because it's for a Baptist and they're sort of opposed to bling in some ways.
I used Watercolours Vanilla and Waterlilies Heather (I think) on 22 count hardanger.

I am sure it is very lovely and beautifully stitched TYiffany but the picture is absent. We are all finding

Thanks Sally. It worked on my end, so I thought it was okay. Hope that works now.

It is very lovely and the picture works good now. I really love that thread choice too. I'm sure it will be much appreciated!

Thanks everyone! I hope you didn't look at the dove's eyes too closely. I realized after they're not all the same...

It doesn't spoil the effect or the sentiment....so don't worry! If you hadn't have said I would not have noticed!!

Lovely anchor conversion, Tiff! And I really like the beautiful "coloured white" threads
Well, over the past lots of weeks I've done very little, or at least very little in the way of stitching. There's another leaf, this time using long and short stitch for the bird's wing instead of padded satin stitch:
And then I finally got round to charting and stitching a mini elephant to go with the Wedding Elephant I did some time ago. Here is the original:
The Mini Elephant came about because I was asked whether I could design an accompanying elephant that would fit on place cards or favour cards. Well, not with the same amount of detail of course, but here it is with a single flower (and a match to show its size):
And here it is on a tag/card:

I love the little elephant, and the leaf and little bird.
