well the addiction is still ongoing, I have now made a cardigan for my niece! it was a pretty simple pattern to read for which I'm grateful as there are so many that confuse me no end, in fact I want to make something for my other niece but the patterns all seem so complicated and trying to read the patterns makes me feel like an idiot! so be warned I may come back to you all for some help and advice on how to read the blooming things :tizzy:

anyway this is the cardie I did, it just needs a button on it (which I haven't got yet) and its finished,

hoping to get some more wool today to start on scarves, I did manage a couple of hours on my stitching but its definitely still taking a back seat currently

edited in case anyone can help me, this is the link for the cardie pattern http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library ... y-cardigan" target="_blank I'm just wondering if anyone could help me, if I was to double the initial foundation row (144 chain instead of 72) and then do the pattern as stated would it make it twice the size or would it bugger up the pattern? thanks

:applesauce: The second cardigan is as adorable and looks as well done as the first. I always had trouble sizing sweaters when crocheting so stuck mostly with afghans, shawls, ponchos and scarves. One size fits all.

well I followed a more complicated pattern and made a jumper! I am loving this crochet lark and already have several orders for things, I have actually made a couple of the cardigans for adults too but I didn't take pictures (plus they look the same just bigger and thicker)

but I am pleased with how this turned out for a first attempt, I did not enjoy the sewing parts together though and will probably try to stick to patterns that are in the round lol

anyway here it is, thanks for looking

Same here!

You're brave to take on garments - I'll probably stick to scarves, hats, and afghans (with occasional sock slippers thrown in).

Wow, I think you have a real talent for this crocheting stuff! I've been doing it for years and I couldn't do what you've done. They're all beautiful and well done!

If you really want to feel stupid try learning to knit. I gave up, lol.
