Hi from Melbourne, Australia
Hi everyone,
I've just joined the group, glad to have found an active cross stitch forum
I'm 39 years old, mother of two and live in Melbourne, Australia. I was an avid cross-stitcher in my teens and then I stopped and had a big break from it. I've just recently got back into it again and so glad I did, I didn't realise how much I missed it.
I've started a Kustom Krafts chart "Sofa Cat", it's quite a large design but I'm enjoying it so far. I am also interested in designing my own cross stitch patterns. Are there any other designers here?
Looking forward to chatting to everyone here
-Catherine

Re: Hi from Melbourne, Australia
Hi Catherine and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! We have quite a few members from Australia and are very glad to add another! We also have a growing number of designers among our numbers so you have definitely found the right place! I hope that you will post pictures of your project. We love pictures and I am very anxious to see your progress on Sofa Cat (any projects with a feline draws my immediate attention). Looking forward to getting to know you.

Welcome to the forum.
I'm a bit partial to cats myself, so thoroughly approve of your choice.... It's looking really nice.
Regards,
Richard.

Oh I love that cat Catherine, looking forward to seeing more of it.
A thunderstorm is heading in and it is as dark as 7pm at present. Will have to get some lights on very soon. Hope it cools down, 31c today.

Re: Hi from Melbourne, Australia
Thanks so much everyone for the warm welcome! I've been busy designing my own patterns last few weeks, not sure if I can show them here or not?
Re: Hi from Melbourne, Australia
Yes, you can because they are yours. But obviously if you hope to sell them, don't use the design itself, just a photo of the finish or something similar. Best thread is "Trade or Sell". Good luck!
