Great progress! It's looking beautiful :applesauce: :applesauce:

My assistants tend to like to sunbathe in the window too. I'm afraid it doesn't stop them from occasionally causing mischief though

Re: Wedding Sampler - Update 6/2/2016

Been busy working on this since I don't have a clue when the wedding will be and I want to only have the date to add when the time comes.
Laverne is helping me sort out the pages. The hard copy had an error in that the shaded top rows on pages 3 and 4 were not the same as the bottom 3 rows on pages 1 and 2. As soon as I figured that out I sent an email to the designers not knowing if they had already made corrections. They sent me a corrected pdf chart (though I had told them I had figured it out and my email was for their information in case no one else had yet told them) right away, which I thought was very kind and thoughtful of them. So I'm stitching from the pdf using my iPad (easier for this design) but Laverne wants to make sure that everything is just right!

Image

I'm stitching the outside of the star first and then the middle and then will do the back stitch. I think I'm making pretty good progress.

Thanks for looking.

Glad to see there are other cats who like to keep on top of things, same way as our cats do too.

It's looking rather nice.

Regards,

Richard.

Laverne looks deep in concentration as she's putting your pages in order. Kitties can be so 'helpful' sometimes

The sampler is looking beautiful. Loving those colours :applesauce:

What a sweet assistant you have! And what a gorgeous picture you're stitching! I've no doubt you'll tame the project on time. I am sad for the :ribbit: visits. They're not nice.

Really making amazing progress, but will have a short break as the "surprise" engagement party is this week end and my sister and nephew are flying in from Los Angeles tonite and will be "hiding out" with me until the party on Saturday. Once I know when the wedding will be I will be able to judge how fast (or slow) I can move on this, though it has been fun to stitch I am ready for a return to slower stitching with lots of confetti for a while. Still have the bottom of the sampler and the center and the back stitching to do so there is a ways to go.

Now that the chart pages are properly sorted, Laverne has been recuperating from all her hard work.

It is absolutely beautiful and you're doing a wonderful job on it. I'm glad Miss Laverne is able to rest for a bit now - all that supervision and quality control is obviously exhausting.

Stroke that pretty fur for me and listen to that sweet purring. I'm sure Miss L. has kept an eye on your stitching. And I dare to say it is awesome. You can stitch!

The outside of the star and all 6 points are finished with their cross stitch. Now I have the inside section and then the back stitch. Still enjoying this one, but looking forward to some of my other projects. Supposedly I have a good long time to get this done, but since I hate having deadlines if I know there is one looming in the distance it kind of pricks at me. So except for their names and the date (currently not picked) will keep at it till the rest is done.

Please excuse the crazy angle of the bottom of the piece. It was late last night (early this morning?) when I took the picture and I just put it up on the chart holder so the bottom is laying flat and its sort of an optical illusion.

No assistant picture since she has been much more concerned with chasing lizards that get into her catio or are on the screen door than with stitching!
