:applesauce: :applesauce: A great update on a great design. Gryff is awesome and I would think be a good way to relax when you aren't too exhausted from everything that has been going on in your life. Looking forward to more updates and hearing that life has calmed down a bit.

You have certainly been through a very stressful time. I'm really sorry to hear of your loss.
On a positive note though your stitching is looking lovely :applesauce: :applesauce: considering what stressful period you have been through I think you have made good progress :applesauce: :applesauce:

Two weeks on since the last update, and I am still stitching Page 4 of the 18.
The chart page layout is as below:

And the progress:

Getting on slowly, and maybe I'll finish the page soon so I can go back to Luz.

Richard.

That's what I call a decent amount of work. When finished, it will be well worth every stitch. He turns out so real. If you had started with his head, he would be now watching you working and would not let you get distracted by other projects.

Happy stitching!

I always tend to work from right to left. I do not use a stand, and hold the frame in my left hand, using my right for the needle. This means the left side tends to get grubby, but as there are no stitches there, the stitched part of the picture remains cleaner than if I worked the other way.

There is also one more thing, not having him look at me speeds things up. There is no distraction of looking at a very soft & soppy cat.

Regards,

Richard

Yes... There is a resemblance to a pointillist picture with the individual dotty stitches. I think another contribution to the effect is the slightly unrepresentative values in the standard DMC colour definitions I used for the program, generally light threads come out a bit darker and more saturated than the digital picture. It's not bad, just different.
I do hope that the colour definitions I came up with this summer will be a bit more WYSIWYG. Though doing an effective test is, perforce, years away.

Regards,

Richard
