Hello everyone

Post by Skattiekat »

Hi,
I found this site quite by accident and hope to enjoy it as much as you all seem to.

I'm from beautiful Dorset and have been stitching for about 11 years. I prefer doing larger projects and adore Lavender and Lace and Mirabilia. I've finished 5 Lavender and Lace and 1 Mirabilia and have almost finished my 2nd, I just have the beads to put on.

I have no idea how to put on photos or an avatar or even what the tick boxes below the message are for but I'll probably work it out eventually. I have plenty of time at the moment as I'm off work following a heart attack.

Looking forward to chatting.

Hello Skattiekat and welcome

Sorry to hear about your heart attack - hope you are on the mend now.

Love Dorset - we have friends near Honiton in Devon so have visited the Dorset coast many times. Love the Lavender and Lace and Mirabilia designs but I'm afraid they are a bit too big for me - I like small

Hope you enjoy the forum - I am sure you will soon get the hang of it but if there's anything you don't understand just shout and someone will help.

And welcome from the West of Scotland (currently dry, thank goodness!). It was not chance that brought you to the forum, it was serendipity. This forum has been proved to be a sovereign remedy for all manner of ailments, due to our expertise and indulgence in virtual parties, chocolate and hugs at every opportunity. Stitching, too.
Your work is stunning, and I can't wait to see more in your gallery.

Thanks to everyone for being so friendly and welcoming. I will not be lonely or bored again while I'm off work!

My WIP is Mirabilia's Autumn Queen and will be framed to match Spring Queen which I did last year. As soon as I can I will load pics of all I've done in the Gallery.
So far I've averaged approx 1 per year, along with a few smaller bits and pieces for pressies etc. I do get much more satisfaction from the big projects though, I just love seeing the beautiful dresses growing in my hands.

I've just started 1 of 4 smaller ones called "Ladies that Lunch", they are pretty and good fun but worked on 14 count. The 2 Mirabilia ones are on 16 count and I can honestly say that the difference is amazing. I didn't realise how much till I was doing both at the same time.

Have a lovely Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
