Wow Hélène, that looks beautiful! I'm doing a project with a lot of metallics too and find them frustrating at times.

This piece is so beautiful...the colors, the design, the stitching, and everything. I am looking forward to see more of it.

Happy belated anniversary for yesterday. It was our wedding anniversary also. A little behind you though at 30 years. Lovely stitching.

Thank you for all your kind words. It is very encouraging, as the metallic threads are not so easy to work with.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY NEECY! Sorry, I only read your comment today. Here is to another year full of good things!
On the 2nd heart, I tried again to stitch with 2 stands together (loop method) but, as it is metallic thread , it just does not look as neat. I am back stitching with one strand twice. It is a bit of a pain but neater.
If you click on the image and again once the picture appears on PostImage, you will see my stitching in a BIG magnifying way ( Oh dear!
)
You will see that the beginning of the 2nd heart is not as neat.

WOW Helene, it is growing well and to me there does not look to be any difference between either heart - they are both beautifully stitched.
I know we are our own worst critics so be nice to yourself this time.

Thank you for all your very kind comments. It is encouraging!
I have done quite a bit today. Stitching with plain threads for the swallow feels so much easier after the metallics!
Thank you again, I shall keep stitching

It looks great to me. I always struggle with metallic thread.
Well done

The 2nd swallow is now stitched and the "R" + a bit more ribbon. I am running out of light blue! The kit was a bit short of thread or I frogged too much!
