Snowflake tree Finished

Started this last weekend, the fabric is driving me mad. I have used this before with no trouble but this weave seems really tight in some spots, makes it hard to find the proper hole. (it's tea dyed 28 count but seems smaller somehow) Would like to throw it off the balcony but it's too pretty. Have 4 of 8 snowflakes done, then the tree trunk.

I agree! It is very lovely and going to make a beautiful tree. Remember to come back here for encouragement whenever the fabric becomes too frustrating and we will cheer you on.

They are all different and beautiful snowflakes.
It is worth persevering with the cloth, it is going to be so lovely! Looking forward to seeing the other 4 snowflakes... :D

That is so delicate and pretty Linda, I do hope that the fabric becomes easier to work with. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

A good start even tho you are not all that happy with fabric. Snowflakes always pretty objects to look at :)

I have two more flakes done and gave myself a break from the white to finish the tree trunk. Even though the fabric is a pain I am enjoying the stitching, it's just so pretty.\

The snowflakes are so pretty and they look particularly delicate against the dyed background.

By the way, I've found consistently that hand-dyed fabrics are finer than they started out - a hand-dyed 25ct will end up as a 26 or a 26.5 and a hand-dyed 28 can easily become a 30, so that might account for the closer weave perhaps.

I don't think this is hand dyed, it's stock I believe, Tea Dyed , they call it. I found that the inconsistencies are in different parts of the fabric. The last snowflake I am working on is giving me a really hard time.(it's near the area I started to have problems when I first started stitching) It's hard to see the rows , the weave in that area is so tight. But it's the last one and WILL be finished today. :tantrum:

:whoop: Finished it. What do you think of the gold beads? for or against. Don't have any larger pearl beads but I think this works. Going to find a frame for it but won't be able to use glass. the beads are too large. Even with spacers, the frames are not deep enough for this size bead.

I LOVE it! The gold beads are perfect complements to the color of the cloth and the tree, in my opinion.
