I think I shared progress of this before, but our dear friend :anotherfrog: paid me a lovely visit. As I was frogging a 10x10 square, I cut the fabric in sueveral spots so I had to start over.

I just restarted it today, so I have to be extra careful not to mess up again!

Photo bucket isn't working for me today so I can't imbed any pictures, so hopefully the link above will work.

No Photobucket has changed everything and one has to join and pay an annual fee to be able to share pictures. :tantrum: :tantrum:

A lot of us have switched to Postimage.org which is really easy and quick to use. :)

Unfortunately, photo bucket isn't likely to work for you ever again unless you pay them $400/yr. They changed their policies a few months ago, and you can no longer use their free services to post to 3rd party sites. There are a couple of threads going on this forum and members have been suggesting free sites to start using.

I had to redo this a while back, and I'm making some progress today! I'm almost back to where I was when :anotherfrog: had to go ruin things.

You have made good progress with your re-start and got yourself into "new territory" too. Well Done.

Alright so I'm working on my project and I have a question about stitching white and very very dark blue/black confetti. Do you think it's wise to stitch the white after the dark or vise versa? What about white stitches being surrounded by other colors?

I'm not sure because I only really encountered this with the slipknot album cover. I stitched whatever color I had more of. Some of the white stitches picked up the other colors and also didn't look as pronounced. :thinks:

The rule of perfection would have you work from dark to light for exactly that reason. When it's possible, and on the rare occasions that it would make a big difference, I try to put the lightest colours in last. Oh, and if I remember...

Obviously for a huge piece -- like a HAED -- this advice could only be useful depending on your overall plan of attack!

Thanks Serinde! I haven't been stitching this pattern that way (with darkest colors first) but I will have to do that once I get to a part where it'll make more of a difference.

Now for an update! I hope to have page 1 finished by Monday! Image
