Separate confetti stitches advice

I used to know a good way of stitching the odd cross here & there but have forgotten. Would be glad to know your preferred ways of doing these as I will have some as tiny droplets of water in the kingfisher picture.

Thank you Wendy for the links, kind of you to find them, they re v. good. You jogged my memory that it was Scarlet Quince I got info from several years ago, but try as I might I just could not remember the source
Have saved those now so I can refer to them again
I will be doing some tonight or tomorrow evening.
