Unfortunately not Garnet they haven't specified on Facebook yet. They are trying their hardest to get everything ready and Kate has been stitching beads on works pretty much all of last week! Will let you all know as soon as I find out! I think I'll be buying the owls too have always loved that design ...

Wendy, I haven't seen the cross stitch version yet, but I did see the Puffin on the google image search, he is so gorgeous  him too.

I just counted my Wrendales and I have seven already not counting Flo & Geronimo (aka Birds of a Feather).

How is Billy coming along Nicola?

I've done a little bit of him last week but not enough to warrant a photo! I will try to get more done this week but have to tidy up my room as it's very messy and there are books everywhere. Not to mention work to go to as well

A little update for you all as I seem to have neglected this thread for a while! I haven't managed to get much done to Billy but have finished the top half of his body and working my way clockwise doing the Poppies. I've taken him out of my Elbesee floor frame just this afternoon as I'm having quite a palaver with the wing nuts on the side of the frame as after a certain amount of swinging it round 180 degrees to get to the back of the fabric the wing nuts are losing their tightness and end up just going round and round! It's driving me insane! :tantrum: So he's popped onto my Elbesee clip frame just now until I get my Dad to sort the problem out. I could have waited but I'm just so impatient!

:whoop: Yay Billy is back :whoop:

You are doing a grand job on him Nicola.

How are you finding all the white/cream shades, I find it harder to stitch white on white than black on black.

Clever of you to backstitch the Poppies as you go.

Sorry I can't help with the wing nuts thing, hope your dad can find a solution.

Happy Stitching!

Thanks guys! I hate stitching white on white and I hate stitching with black! I don't know what it is it just never sits nice when stitched and there's always extra fibres clinging on to the thread, don't know if that's the right description! Doesn't help that my cousin wants me to stitch a Border Collie for him

I absolutely hate stitching with black, especially DMC black. It is more thin and stringy than any of the other colors. Anchor's black is a little bit better and doesn't seem to fray as much. I imagine the dying has something to do with that, but if you have an option, I would suggest you try the Anchor or some other brand, especially if the fabric is between a 14 and 20 ct size.

Looks fantastic! That is frustrating about the frame and I hope you can get it sorted soon. I feel like that too, once you get back to something you want everything to be perfect.
