Lots of lovely and delicate patterns, ideal for cards

I work with the Reception class at a Primary school and the children gave me a Voucher Card for Christmas. I bought this kit with it. It will remind me of the children when I stitch it.

My copy of that book should have arrived on Saturday, too! Glad you got yours already.
Maybe mine will arrive today, I definitely hope so.
I also finally found the book "Quilts for all Seasons" by Paula Vaughan. I ordered it from Canada, so it's going to take a while before arriving here in Germany, but I'm really looking foward to having it.
Sorry Poppy I didn't see your kitten when I was on earlier. Beautiful, I may just have to buy that kit as it is sooo gorgeous. I have one of 2 kittens by DMC. Just thought this would go with it as one kitten in ginger & the other tabby.
I am going to have to break my new rule of not buying any more kits from February onward as I have ordered some more Dimensions ones!! And I have enough put by to last me 10 yrs or more. Well today is last day of January so I'm OK if I'm quick
How lovely of the children to give you the voucher. Must have made your heart sing! Look forward to seeing it one here soon
PS It is now a few minutes later. Have bought one so now I can stick to my new rule, well l hopefully will not buy any more kits/charts from February until the end of the year There are so may gorgeous things on here but I did wonder what cat picture I could get to go with my other DMC kit. The 2 kittens are next to a vase of flowers & this plain background one will go nicely with it. So you've helped me solve my pondering
Daisy, it sounds like this kitten was actually needed to make the set

Me too, I look at it as an "investment"in happiness.

Beautiful designs on these two books, Sina. I love birds and butterfies designs too
One thing, I noticed, is that on designs from the Continent, there is no backstitch.

Woohoo excellent! I think I will have to get a magnifying glass or something to use the charts in the wild flower book. They are very small symbols! But I love the finished results so I will definitely use it at some point!
Oh yes Nicola, they are very hard to read. But I normally scan my charts and open them up as a PDF on my tablet. That way I can enlarge them as I work on them.
I have quite a number of French X-Stitch magazines and none of them outlines the design. Sorry, I should not have generalized!
Looking forward to seeing some of the design stitched, they are lovely.
