I ordered this book about three weeks ago via a third party seller on Amazon and was giving up hope of it ever arriving but it has just arrived now! As you know I love my florals and after seeing someone stitch a Snowdrop on a Facebook group I had to ask them where the design was from as it was beautiful! Thea Gouverneur's Flowers in Cross Stitch is full of gorgeous designs!

I have one kit by Thea Gouverneur, her designs are so lifelike!

I have bought so many books lately, some used, some new. Will show them to you once they get here.

Today I'll be heading to Creativa Dortmund, a huge fair with everything creative, including cross stitch!

I received a surprise yesterday - a fellow stitcher's husband gave a me a bag which his wife had been asked by another stitcher to pass on to "a good home"; "looks like scraps to me," he said, "but Gill [his wife] said you'd like it."

Er, well, I did - this is what was in it:





Apparently the lady in question had been one of the embroiderers on their church's altar cloth "three vicars ago", and I assume that's when the materials date back to. They're a bit tarnished, but still lovely.
