It'll be our third anniversary (and DH's birthday) in exactly one week, so we'll be celebrating in the Netherlands. But this morning with our early morning tea I was suddenly given a bottle-shaped package in pretty wrapping paper with a bow -- he'd found me something rather fragile and as we're going in the Austin (no locks, no roof, and no suspension to speak of -- not to mention brakes...) he didn't think it was a good idea for the present to travel with us.
So what did he get me? Well, I'm Dutch, I like blue and white pottery, and I collect musical boxes -- so somehow he'd managed to find me a Delft-blue genever jug musical box :-). It's not the most traditional anniversary present, but I love it -- it shows he didn't just go into a shop to buy a last minute present, instead he'd really been looking for something special :wub: awww... (Incidentally, the fact that it's a genever jug is neither here nor there, of course :-))

By the way... does the decoration on the jug remind you of something...?

Ohhh it is beautiful!!! And have a great trip and congrats on the anniversary! And remind you...good golly it looks like the pattern was created from the jug!

When I first saw the picture I thought "how quick and clever she is to whip up the card to match the bottle!" then I read through the note. That is amazing!
