I'm so glad that you had the thread you needed so you could have such a beautiful finish!!!

I know what you mean about kits, which is why I almost always avoid them, but this one just was too tempting to resist. Good thing is that I did have the right colors in my stash to finish it as, I had purchased it from ebay from a secondary seller. It was new and complete and I got a good price on it, so I don't feel too put out. I just felt funny emailing the company about the threads being skimpy since I had not purchased it from a retail store. :?
Thanks for the nice replies everyone!!

Love your owl Karen. :D

So annoying when there is barely or not enough thread.

Just love this more every time I see it. The eyes are so piercing, I feel it can see deep into me, right down to my inner soul.

A truly lifelike portrayal of an owl & I think this design is one of the best I have ever seen. :whoop: :whoop: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Fantastic finish :whoop: :whoop: I had the same trouble with a lanarte kit. Not enough thread and I had to try and match a DMC thread up with one that I had run out of but it was ever so slightly different. I am very aware of it but no one else has noticed. They definitely need to allow a bit more threads in their kits.

Hi is AWESOME and very beautifully stitched too. Well Done of finishing it :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

As a side note - it is most unusual for Lanart kits to be short on thread. I often used to stitch their kits and had no problems. :D

WOW! He is so striking and lifelike. Especially the eye. And the beak. And the feathers. Congratulations on a fantastic finish!

It's been a little while since I posted any photos of my projects but I have finally managed to take photos of what I am currently working on

This is a SAL from Tempting Tangles called Wildflower Woodland Quaker Mystery SAL--I started much later than it was introduced and I am currently almost 1/2 the way done

Image
and here is my other project, which is called Broad Tailed Hummingbird by Crossed Wing Collection--again about 1/2 done, mainly waiting on some blending filament from 123 stitch

:applesauce: Two beautiful projects, I love the Quaker project, so different to anything I've seen before and the Nasturtiums are so bright and cheerful.

Your stitches are so beautifully neat and even too :whoop:
