Apps to track floss

Post by Roland »

Does anyone use an app to keep track of their floss? I had one on my old phone, but it’s not compatible with an iPhone.

Since they are no longer free, I was hoping to get recommendations before investing money.

I use Stitcher on my iPhone and really like it. Besides keeping track of regular skeins of DMC , it has nearly all the DMC variety like Regular Variegated, Satin, Coloris etc. Under Specialty threads you can keep track of Anchor, Gentle Art Sampler Threads and Week's Dye Works. I like the shopping function so when I am down to my last skein of a color I tap the shopping cart and it adds that color to the list. I've used this one for years and its has been updated a lot since I first got it. I think it would be worth checking into.

Thank you. And thank goodness.

Someone on another group recommended XStitcher. So, since it was the same one, I downloaded it. And it turned out, she meant a different app.

Anyway, it looks like it will do what I want. I will go through my stash over the weekend.

I just use Excel - I can manipulate it to my needs and preferences and it works well. It's stored in the cloud so I can get it anywhere on all devices.

The app posted above is no longer being updated, which makes it useless to me.

So I download Xstitch. There are two versions. I paid $3.99 CA. The other is free for a week, then $9.99 per years.
